Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a blockbuster summer move to sign RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, according to ESPN FC.
The Lilywhites overcame their worst domestic season in decades as they finished 17th in the Premier League to secure Champions League football by winning the Europa League, ending their 17-year trophy drought in the process.
Now Daniel Levy is keen to bolster the squad ahead of the new campaign, and Netherlands international Simons is someone they are said to be keeping an eye on.

The playmaker, who has been described as ‘one of the best no.10’s in the world’, made his loan move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent in January with the intention of leaving this summer in a mega-money move.

Spurs are expected to strengthen the attack this summer, with question marks over the futures of Heung-Min Son, Richarlison, Mathys Tel and Wilson Odobert, while midfielders James Maddison and Yves Bissouma could also be on the move.
With Champions League football now in play for next season, the club have much more money to spend now and will also be able to attract a better calibre of player, which is where Simons fits in.
Xavi, who has been labelled a ‘superstar’, is also said to be attracting the interest of several other top European clubs including Barcelona, but their financial situation means a deal to see him return to the Camp Nou is unlikely.
Tottenham are also looking to bring in Southampton star Tyler Dibling alongside Angel Gomes and new defenders, with Cristian Romero potentially set to leave.
