Manchester United are among a host of Premier League clubs closely monitoring Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio this summer, according to O Jogo (via Sport Witness).
The Red Devils are reportedly aware of the Portuguese centre-back’s developing situation, as he is aiming to leave Sporting for a new challenge ahead of his contract expiry in 2027.
Inacio’s strong performances for club and country have reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle as well, although Sporting are not expected to make negotiations easy for any of his potential suitors.
The Portuguese champions are demanding his €60m (£51m) release clause be paid in full and are unlikely to accept a lower fee for the defender

Inacio was linked with a move to Man United last summer before the Red Devils bolstered their backline with the arrivals of Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro.
Despite adding another promising name in Ayden Heaven during the January transfer window, United are expected to bring in one more centre-back this summer amid veteran departures.
The Red Devils have announced that both Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans will be leaving Old Trafford when their contracts expire this month, and they are likely to sign a replacement, considering Amorim’s preference for a three-centre-back system.
The Portuguese tactician knows Inacio well from their time together at Sporting, where they won two league titles and two League Cups.
The ‘insane’ 23-year-old defender has been a cornerstone of Sporting’s back four for the past four seasons, making 213 appearances in total, scoring 21 goals and providing 12 assists.
