France have been given a slight scare ahead of Euro 2024 after Kylian Mbappe missed training on Saturday, nine days before the tournament kicks off.
The French skipper was absent from training as the national team prepare for Sunday’s friendly against Canada – their final warm-up before their opening clash with Austria in Germany.
Initially the reason behind Mbappe’s absence was unknown, but L’Equipe have provided an update on the forward.
According to their report, Mbappe is suffering from a back issue and is expected to sit out the clash with Canada on Sunday evening.
There is no muscular issue, and there is little concern over the injury, with his participation in the Euros opener not in question right now.
