This page holds our Premier League tips for the next round of fixtures. Each one shows the odds we took, and once the games are played the result stays in the list above, won or lost. We don't delete the bad ones. If you want to know whether our Premier League picks are worth following, scroll up and count.
How we pick Premier League tips
Most of what you'll see here is double chance (1X or X2) and straight wins at odds between about 1.15 and 1.45. That's deliberate. The Premier League is the most heavily bet league in the world, so bookmakers price it more carefully than anything else. Big-priced "value" is rare, and chasing it usually means backing upsets that don't come.
So we look for games where one side is very unlikely to lose, then take the safer line. Before a tip goes up we check:
- Form over the last five or six games, home and away separately. A side that's strong at home can look ordinary on the road.
- Team news. One missing centre-back or goalkeeper changes a game more than most people think.
- The fixtures either side. Clubs playing in Europe on Tuesday or Wednesday often rotate at the weekend, and a midweek cup game can do the same to a smaller club.
- Motivation. Late in the season, a side safe in mid-table plays differently from one fighting relegation.
If a game doesn't pass those checks, we leave it out. Some weeks that means only three or four tips. We'd rather post four we believe in than ten to fill the table.
Why the Premier League is hard to predict
There are 20 clubs and 380 matches, and the gap between the bottom and the middle is smaller than in Spain or France. Promoted sides win at big grounds every season. That's why a straight home win at short odds is riskier here than it looks, and why we often take 1X instead.
The busy periods matter too. Around Christmas and New Year teams can play three times in eight days, and results get stranger as squads get tired. We post fewer tips over that stretch.
A note on kick-off times: the traditional Saturday 3pm UK kick-off is 4pm in Lagos during the UK winter and 3pm in summer, when Britain puts its clocks forward. Every time on this page is already shown in West Africa Time (WAT).
Other markets for Premier League games
If double chance is too safe for you, these pages cover the same fixtures from a different angle:
- Over 1.5 goals: most Premier League games have at least two goals, which makes this a common accumulator leg.
- Both teams to score (GG): worth a look when two attacking sides with shaky defences meet.
- Banker of the day: our single most confident pick, from any league.
The league tables page has the full standings and top scorers for all five big leagues, and live scores follow the games while they're on.
A word on staking
Short odds don't mean a sure thing. A 1.25 tip still loses about one time in five, and an accumulator of five of them loses more often than it wins. Stake an amount you can afford to lose, and read our responsible gambling page if betting stops being fun.
